Dance:  LOVIN’ LATIN LINE DANCE

This is a four wall dance with 1/4 turns to the left.

 Freestyle for 16 counts.

Merengue for 8 counts.

Merengue while stepping in a circle for 8 counts.

Merengue leaning forward for 4 cts and backwards for 4 cts.

Merengue leaning forward for 4 cts and backwards for 4 cts.

(Mambo traveling forward) Tap R to R, step R in front of L, step L to L, step L in front of R, repeat.

(Mambo traveling backwards) Tap R to R, step R in back of L, step L to L, step L in back of R, repeat.

(Cha-Cha) Step R forward, L in place, step R, L, R in place.  Step L forward, R in place, step L, R, L in place, repeat.

(Salsa) Slide R, clap 3 times, step R forward, step L in place, step R back and hold.

Slide L, clap 3 times, step L forward, step R in place, step L back and hold.

Repeat entire from beginning performing a quarter turn L at the end of the freestyle so the entire dance changes direction.

This is a four wall dance with 1/4 turns to the left.

When the music begins, clap to the upper L, clap to the upper R, clap to lower L, clap to lower R. Repeat 3 more times.

(Jive)  Step R to R, touch L next to R, step L to L, touch R next to L, step R back, step L forward, step R next to L and hold one count. (Experienced dancers can do a triple step R, triple L, step back R, step L foward, end feet together).

Heels twist R, L, R, kick L  (traveling to the right).

Heels twist L, R, L, kick R (traveling to the left).

(Box step) Cross R over L (hold one count).

Step L to side (hold one count).

Step R to R (hold one count).

Step L forward (hold one count).

Repeat two box steps without holding counts.

Twist walks forward 4 counts.

Flick kick R forward, kick R side, step on R, then step L in place.

Flick kick L forward, kick R side, step on L, then step R in place.

Twist walks forward for 2 counts, then 1/4 turn L and do 2 more walks.

Dance:  THE SOCAL HIP HOP DANCE

This is a one wall dance always facing front.

Hold for 16 counts.

Step R to R, step back R next to R while arms are doing a circular motion to the front.

Step L to L, step back L next to L while arms are doing a circular motion to the front.

R toe “opens” (faces 3:00) and “pull” arms.

L  toe “opens” (faces 9:00) and “pull” arms.

Step R to R, step L next to R, step R to R, step L next to R.

Step L to L, step R next to L, step L to L, step R next to L.

R foot stomps 3 times in front, then slides back next to L.

L  foot stomps 3 times in front, then slides back next to R.

Bounce 3 times to R.

Shoulders shake R, L, R with hands in “boxing” fist position.

Bounce 3 times to L.

Shoulders shake L, R, L with hands in “boxing” fist position.

Arms make a half circle from top to bottom and shake shoulders R, L, R.

Walk back R, L, R, then clap.

Walk forward L, R, L, then clap.

Freestyle for 4 counts.

 

Song: UPTOWN FUNK

Dance:  THE ISO LINE DANCE

This is a four wall dance with 1/4 turns to the left.

Hold 16 counts.

Nod head up and down while turning head R to L for 4 cts.

Nod head up and down while turning head L to R for 4 cts.

Push R shoulder forward for 2 cts, then L shoulder forward for 2 cts, then push shoulders forward twice as fast.

Move rib cage to the R and hold one ct, move rib cage to the L and hold one ct, move rib cage R, L, R, L on the count (4 counts).

Do the “80’s Pump” twice to the R (tap R foot 2 times while hips are moving R twice and L arm is “hammering”).

Do the “80’s Pump” twice to the L.

Repeat the “80’s Pump” on both sides (or do the “80’s Pump” once to the R, L, R, L).

“Temptation” walk to the R (Step R to R, slide L to R, step R to R, slide L to R while body is slightly facing R).

“Temptation” walk to L (Step L to L, slide R to L, step L to L, slide R to L while slightly facing L).

Grapevine R and “play the sax” on the last count.

Grapevine L and “play the sax” on the last count.

Stomp R forward, switch feet and stomp L forward, switch feet and stomp R forward, hold one count.

Stomp L forward, switch feet and stomp R forward, switch feet and stomp L forward, hold one count.

Repeat stomps.

Walk forward R, L, kick R foot, small jump R, L

Pop twice to R and twice to L (or do some Lockin’ here!)

“Happy Feet” for eight counts (swivel heels and toes anyway you can.

Walk backward R, L, R, L with a “Motown” flair and 1/4 turn L on the last step.

 

SONG:  #1SELFIE SONG

This is a techno style song.  It is faster than the Iso Line Dance so once you learn the Iso Line Dance to Uptown Funk, try it faster to this song and add your own style!

Another idea is to do the fast dances like the Shuffle to this song however, the music is fast so you might get out of breath. Try this:

Grapevine to the R, grapevine to the L.

Walk backward for 4 counts, walk forward for 4 counts.

Shuffle for 8 counts.

Gangnam style for 8 counts.

Lasso or 8 counts.

Spongebob for 8 counts.

Everyone forms a giant circle.

While clapping hands, one by one, dancers go in the center of circle showing off their favorite dances.

Repeat all above while in a giant circle.

Change out the Lasso, Spongebob, etc for other dances like the Wobble or Happy Feet.
