My name is Christy Lane and the Dare to Dance Program has been working with schools for over 20 years in the form of school assemblies, teacher in-services and workshops promoting wellness and fitness through dance using appropriate music and movements.

Dare to Dance is coming to Oahu on May 2nd! It’s going to be a great time as we celebrate National Dance Week and National Physical Education & Sports Week and join the Hawaii Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance during their annual convention.
It’s a day where teachers and students can enjoy taking classes that are new, fun and different from national instructors flying in from San Diego and Chicago. Here is a partial class listing:

Intro to Hip Hop                                                Popular Middle School Dances
Hip Hop Routine                                               Dances Around the World
Fun Flash Dance                                                Popular Elementary School Dances
Dancing with Partner and Props                    How To Teach Hip Hop

And the best part about the wonderful day of dance is that you and/or your students can perform for everyone at the end of the day (for free!).

Enclosed is a flyer. Feel free to contact me (via email is the best way) if you have any questions. Looking forward to a great time!

Note: We are looking for dancers to be talent in a new DVD shoot on Sunday May 3rd. It is an educational DVD and we need talent that looks high school age. This is a beginning level “Steppin’” DVD. Pay is $50 plus the t-shirt and pants used for costuming. Please send a photo and one paragraph bio to christy@christylane.com asap.
